Enrichment at King James's School
King James's School are very excited to be part of a project called 'It's My Life'. We will be working alongside the Tolson Care Partnership and Huddersfield University.
Every week, students will be invited to take part in different activities and taster sessions, for example:
- life skills
- cooking and nutrition classes
- street dance
- jewellery crafting
- mad science demos
- DJ skills
and much more. Even better - it is FREE to our students!
There will also be the opportunity for pupils attending the youth club to ask questions and discuss personal health issues with medical staff from GP surgeries in the local area regularly throughout the year.
All activities are free.
Places for activities will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis.
Details of the activities will be advertised here, our school Instagram account: kjs_1608, and in the weekly parent bulletin.
Different activities will be offered each week and students will need consent each week to take part in the sessions they are interested in.
Places will not be secured until written consent forms are returned to the main school reception.
Emails will be sent to parents, carers and students if a place has been successfully secured. If you do not receive an email, a place has not been assigned.
If your child can no longer attend, please email Mrs Smith on firstname.lastname@example.org as a matter of urgency so that the place can be offered to another student.
if your child does not attend the session, please phone school on 01484 412990 as a matter of urgency so that we are aware for safeguarding reasons.
